Thursday, September 29th, 2005

BobCast??? Today we continue or Bob Geldof Bashing, We have listener comments that take a ream of paper in printed form and squeeze in a short historical sound byte while playing some KICK ASS PodSafe music and we hear more about Adam Curry’s plans to start a record label. You’ll have to wait for exact show notes, instead just grab a cold one and your MP3 player… ROCK ON!

Podcasting and Me

Thursday, September 22nd, 2005

For a while now I have been graced by the listener-ship (is that a word?) of very devoted regular listeners, who are always quick to comment on what was good and what could be done better next time. This is what I love about podcasting, the involvement of so many people coming together. I truly believe that the KastPod is not just a product of my imagination but rather a product of me and my listeners (as little as there may be).

So thanks guys! For listening to my stupid shit, and for chiming in about what you think I should do next. I am very proud to be able to name some of the people that made a difference. In no particular order (and if I forgot someone, I am sorry):

Paul Nichols
Alex
Richard
Jan Polet
Marco
Bern Kreleger
Elger v/d Wel
Wanda Wisdom
Al Saiz

Ok, so not quite in random order… I ended the list with Al, Why? Because Al Saiz has one of the best blogs about podcasting I know (I stole the title of this post - It’s the name of his blog). If you want to stay informed about technology, and especially how it relates to podcasting, go check out alsaiz.blogspot.com!!

But to all of you who regularly tell me not to burp, or figure out why my compressor isn’t working, or help with Voice Over work for jingles, play my promos, invite me in to their shows… Thanks!! It is a wonderful ride and you can count on me taking you along!

Love,
SWB

Yeah what you are missing… and sadly, so am I! But, even though you might not be able to attend PodcastCon UK 2005. I have got something exclusive. The paying attendees to the conference don’t even have this yet! The link below will lead you straight to the OFFICIAL program. The one that’s going to be in 140 hot little hands that did have the opportunity. HERE IT IS! Nobody has it yet but us, the unfortunate few that can’t make it. Don’t worry… It will all be podcast (or is that podcasted?) soon! Very soon! Just keep an eye on www.podcastcon.co.uk and www.britcaster.com And to Paul and all the others making this event happen, break a leg kids!

# 15: Dedicated to the 9/11 Victims

Sunday, September 11th, 2005

#15 and everything that can go wrong is going wrong…. Really need some new software (should I try CastBlaster?) to record this show? Nevertheless I manage to play some new songs and make some people happy with a fresh Historical Sound Byte. Marco chimes in for the listener comments, and the C64 afficionados will be glad to hear the promo that I am playing. Meanwhile, I am none to happy with having to stop recording due to software failures. Oh well!

# 14 News News News!

Flag on the Field (sound seeing mashup)

Saturday, September 3rd, 2005

Yesterday was my first ever visit to a High School footbal game. I recorded it (parts of it). Today I decided to put it to music. The results can be downloaded here. Making use of Fumitaka Anzai’s track: Sad Sequence Part II, I created a mash-up of sorts. A mash-up I like to call the: Sound-seeing Mashup. I am thinking of making this a regular part of the KastPod. Tell me what you think!
