#24 It’s a Cruisebox Belated Thanksgiving

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Finally!! The long awaited Cruisebox interview! Whoooo-bloody-peee! All of it got very belated due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. There was just too much food to be prepared to also do a show. I wasn’t too happy with that and so you get to hear about my take on what I like to call the Get-It-Over-With-So-We-Can-Get-On-With-Xmas Holiday. The music today is groovy and sexy and courtesy of www.podsafeaudio.com. Somehow my studio decided to start living a live of its own and I had to suffer the sounds from it. If you think this sounds different from the usual… It does! Oh well…

Some podcasters get mentioned on the Daily Source Code. Others don’t.
Unfortunately I’m in the second group.
A good friend of mine gets his name mentioned in the Daily Source Code ALL THE TIME and finds it necessary to constantly remind me of it. He only does that ’cause he’s jealous of the fact that my name is mentioned in the new Cruzbox song. To help me shut him up, I need my name mentioned in the Daily Source Code as well.
Can anyone take care of that?
In the meantime, listen to his podcast, ’cause it’s absolutely worth it.

#23 Musicland Muck!

Today I replay a segment I produced for Jason from Insomnia Radio. Music from (oh yeah!) Cruzbox, Ndromeda and Planet of Women. We quickly check the listener comments and all but shit a brick over Jan Polet having to give up the Hit Test (at least in it’s current form) due to Music Industry Moguls that JUST DON’T GET IT

* The Cruzbox site is now OPEN! Yay!
* I will be meeting with Cruisebox (in the flesh) on 11/19/05
* Can you say: Interview?? HELL YEAH

Here is what the guys have to say about their latest hit song:
Oh Yea this tune is a fun party jam New Orleans style. This tune was inspired by Cruiseboxs’ bassist Mike Myers also writing were Josh Cruise and Chris Hicks. This tune has some interesting horn work featuring Eric Lenard and Chris Hicks. Ok ok, we drop some names of our favorite podcast shows 411, Jawbone and Adam Curry and the small but mighty Skinny White Boy!

UPDATE: Yeah Yeah! The interview is done! From a shady hotel room in Oklahoma… The next episode of the Kast will feature the new Cruzbox INTERVIEW!

#22 Cruisebox is BACK!!

Wednesday, November 9th, 2005

And they wrote a song about me… well sort of anyway… In this episode: Cruisebox, Stephen Lynch, Harvey Keene and Buckethead (that last one for sure is not podsafe — but legal nonetheless). I introduce IRN, IODA and generally bounce off the walls because I am so totally psyched about the new Cruisebox tune… COME AND GET YOUR LOVE

As heard on the Daily Source Code, the new Josh Cruise (of Cruisebox fame) song titled “Mash It Up” mentions guess who? Yup! You got that damn straight! Yours truly! Skinny White Boy

Not quite at ease yet in the new place, the day after Halloween brings PodSafe music, old fashioned commercials and the sounds of a nation at war. What is good for??
