Hiya!
It’s hard man but it is so worth it. Not just financially but in terms of sheer wellbeing. I stopped so many times before it stuck, but I’m so glad it did. I’ll always be an ‘ex-smoker’ but I aint going back now. Keep at it dude at you’ll beat it.

Good man ! Jan 4th 2007 will be three years since I quit, after being a smoker for almost 18 years. I’d tried to quit a few times before back in the early 90s and didn’t have the motivation.
Stick at it. I basically told everyone from about the July of 2003 that in January 2004 I’d stop for good. That made me mentally start preparing from then. I also stopped for my daughter - I wanted to be around when she grew up. My ex has a very serious illness, so chances are that in a few years I may be the only parent. I wanted to make sure I was going to be fit enough to be there for her until I’m a ripe old age.
I’m behind you all the way. You’ll certainly feel the difference after a few months !

Jeez, I’ll probably won’t recognize you without a cigarette. At least you’ll still have the coffee mug
. I am sure you can do it. My dad quit at 75 years old (started when he was 11), and yes, his doctor said his breathing improved dramatically within a year.

Just read your post on the ComputerWorld Sound-off ‘Mac’ forum.
You open files (from the keyboard) by either Command-O, or by using the cursor keys - Command-’Down’ opens files. It also opens folders and works in File Browsers. Command-’Up’ navigates up one layer in the Finder and file browsers.
Also, in the Finder, if you hit Command-Option-Down it opens folders (into a new window if single-window navigation is used) closing the parent folder behind it. Hitting Command-Option-Up opens a folder’s Parent, closing the child window in the process.
If you use Command-Option-Down to open a file it closes the parent window as the file opens in it’s default app.
Likewise, holding down Option whilst you double-click a file or folder does the same thing. Closes the parent folder whilst the folder/file opens.
MacOS is generally much faster to navigate via keyboard than Windows. Once you’re used to it you’ll probably hate having to go back to a combination of Alt-Backspace/Alt-4/Enter where you’re constantly having to move around the keyboard to achieve simple tasks. Try it out - you’ll see what I mean.
I AM a Mac User (obviously) - been so since before Windows even existed, so it’s second nature to me.

Als roker ben je tegenwoordig in de minderheid: welkom bij de meerderheid, wij zijn ook gezellig hoor!!!
Roken is net als pause nemen, als je stopt ga je de pauses missen dus die moet je wel zo nu en dan nemen, dat maakt het minder zwaar.
Succes man, ik ben al 2 jaar gestopt en het voelt goed.
