#61: The very last episode

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

Of the year! No silly year-in-review thingamajiggers in this one… NOPE! Just good music, complaints about copy protection on VHS tapes, me not smoking… and all your burps and ehs and ahs that you have come to expect from the ex-pat Amsterdamian.

The music is from:
Popa Chubby
Muddy Waters
Kristen Ward

Is this really Christmas?

Monday, December 25th, 2006

This morning at approx. 1.45 AM, the godfather of soul, the hardest working man in show-biz, the legendary James Brown, died at the age of 73. Brought into the hospital on Christmas Eve for a pneumonia, Mr. Brown (born in 1933) died of congestive heart failure.

We’ll miss you man!

#60 Another no-talkie-Episode

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

It was about high time I did another “music only”  Episode. For a complete playlist, you will (as was the case with #40 — the last “no talker”) have to listen to the, as of yet, unreleased #61. I can’t very well interupt the music to give you the artist in a “no words” episode, now can I? Why not type all the pertinent info right here? One word folks: Cliffhanger! And, oh by the way, This episode celebrates the women in music… Just in case you were wondering where the male vocalists went… I gave them the day off.
