#62 RELOAD

Well, I had to do it sometime, so hear (pun intended) it is… I revisit what episode 62 would have been about had Audacity (the recording software) not ate it, play some music, ramble some and do a soundcheck… The music is from:

Jimmy Thackery
Feed the Kitty
HouseMetal
Candy Butchers

    Don’t carry a balance, dude.
They can’t charge interest on a ZERO balance.

I had to think for a while before writing something about the following subject, since there really isn’t much you can say that will make a difference. It’s beyond words and at that point being quiet is a very sensible option. I’ll give it a try anyways, simply because trying is the best I can do.

I can’t imagine what Christina and Michael are going through. I can only hope for Christina and Michael that they will find the strength to carry on and cherish life, even when it’s so short.

Until we had children I did not realize to what extend life is a miracle. While in the hospital with our youngest (born with a severe heart defect, operated on within one month after birth since he had no chance of survival without operation), we spoke with a doctor who was touring with some med students. He mentioned how incredibly fast a one month old can recover from open heart surgery as compared to a 40 year old. My wife answered that our children are truly a miracle to us, not only our youngest but all our children. The doctor said with a smile that ofcourse all children are a miracle. At some point during pregnancy or birth, any of our four children has had a reasonable chance of not making it. We have two twin boys, and during the preganancy several doctors said that due to complications at least one, if not both, wouldn’t make it. Our daughter has CP because she was strangled in the cord at birth. As mentioned before our youngest has a very serious heart defect. What’s amazing, they all made it (even though some of them will have a constant reminder in some way of the struggle). I can’t imagine the feeling if one of them would have not been able to pull through.
